I've mostly been playing around with polishing the graphics of the existing content.
I'm only just now realizing that this palette's colors make for a depressing tone.

Been playing Castlevania I and III lately and switching between playing these and Buelle makes for a really confusing feel for the gravities of both.
I'm considering lowering Buelle's max jump velocity, but it feels like he is supposed to be moving quickly.

The game's storyline is my biggest challenge right now.
I'm having a pretty tough time linking events together in a sensible manner.

I'd like to release a demo containing a super-polished version of what the playtesters have been getting by the end of this month.
I'll also be working on the game's next dungeon.

The SysAdmin is obsessed with rules and their interesting interactions. Mixing a set of intriguing objects and properties, they get inspiration from sciences to build deep challenging Rules in which the player can explore the rules and make the best out of them.

Your gameplays are likely to follow the rules : easy to learn hard to master, and this strategy lets you come up with some of the most original gameplay elements, and some of the hardest to balance. You risk being so busy making a fun design that you forget to make a fun game. Try to keep thing from getting too abstract.

The different main categories in which you could fall are : The CopyCat The Experience The StoryTeller The WorldBuilder The SysAdmin The Skill Builder

There's also 7 more, but this is probably the best one (Please watch the HQ version).
Five is also too inappropriate for Youtube, so good luck with finding that one (I can't believe they got away with releasing that o_o)

Work on Escape from Darkavern more.
People seem to have liked that.

The demo that's currently available was made in a burst of inspiration and after a few days of nice feedback, I found that I couldn't really get back into the mood of working on it.

However, all seems well as I've got a bunch of new ideas to add into the game, mostly ideas that I came up for 'Visio' and 'THE DARK DUNGEON' that were really never fully explored.

Good things may come soon if I'm not working on Detelamane.
Or good things may come soon if I'm working on anything at all.

So there's this guy, Hyadain, who takes old school Nintendo soundtracks and reworks them into songs.
They're all in Japanese, but a few of his fans have given his songs subtitled videos, which are definitely worth taking a look at (well, so are his unsubbed works).

One especially nice video that stood out was this retake on the Four Fiends from Final Fantasy IV.

So the dorm-mate who usually hosts SBB sessions left his Wii with my roomie and me and we just kind of dicked around for a bit with the snapshot feature.

Some were pretty amazing and some most are there just for the characters' facial features awkwardness.

Since Moogs decided to create the "Newbie Game Remake Contest", I decided to give my first submitted game a second chance.

Looking through Uncy's review, it seems that the major flaws from the first version that need to be fixed are:
* A storyline that came out as complete babble.
* Major game design flaws.
* And most noticeably, ripped graphics.

Thinking a bit, I supposed that I could tackle these problems.

Last week, I spent an hour or so trying to take as many components from the first version's story to compose some sort of plot that would make just a little bit of sense.
These components include:
*Den being a photographer.
*Den venturing into areas he shouldn't have ventured into.
*Hideous one-eyed spirits that possess people (If these never made it into the game, I remember that they were supposed to be. I spent quite a bit of time trying to prepare for this)
*MIB (I'll probably rename this to some other spiffy acronym for a secret organization)
*Den's time-traveling antics.

As opposed to switching from a Sci-Fi to a Fantasty game mid-game last time, I plan to make this a pure Sci-Fi game. Den will be holding onto his camera for the entirety of the game and I'm planning to tweak the battle system to better accompany his use for it.

Also, since Detelamane was supposed to reincarnate Den and give him the glory he was supposed to get from Expose (Lol!), I'm going to go ahead and give him a name tweak to "Denzel".

Graphic-wise, I've decided to try a new style that strays from my previous works.
This time, I'm trying to use a simpler system of pixel art.

I'm feeling really good about this project, and I'm sure that I'm actually going to be able to finish it, as the story I have planned will be short, yet effective.

Also, I'm going to recycle those zombie graphics from the scrapped Halloween game into this game.
This will rock so hard!;D

After seeing its opening sequence off of Youtube at least a year ago, I suddenly saw it again and decided to actually watch the dang thing.

So basically, Paranoia Agent is a 13 episode anime series that explores the human perceptions of reality and the corruption of today's society.
In order to do so, they bring in the most crazy of the insane and dirtiest of the corrupt.

It sort of follows the plot-model of FLCL, where you have no idea what's going on in the beginning of the series, but it starts to build together near the end.
It also follows FLCL in such a way that it basically vomits plot-filling at you so quickly that at the end of the whole thing, you're going "What?!"

Animation-wise, I felt that this series was fantastic.
It's incredibly smooth, and every character has an abundance of traits etched in.
In fact, there's no need to judge a character's personality beyond its appearance, as they match perfectly.
For instance, the two main truly corrupt characters in the series both come off as morbidly obese and also morbidly ugly. Just by looking at them, I already know how their personality is going to come out!

Music was wonderful. It was the opening song that really captured me, but it sounds like it was all done by a single source, making it all fit together quite nicely.

One of my only complaints about PA was the fact that every episode left off at a wonderful cliffhanger, making it virtually impossible to wait any stretch of time before watching the next.
In my case, I thought I could just sample a bit of the anime and finish it later. I couldn't!

The entire story starts out seeming like it's built around a mysterious boy carrying a crooked, golden baseball bat, skating around with golden skates and smacking people upside the head.
The plot then jumps around from the two detectives searching for his identity and his numerous victims. But, as previously stated, the plot really picks up near the end.

Although there were two episodes that didn't really advance the plot too much, they were still excellent (One was about an old man, a middle-aged Queen, and an elementary-grade girl that met up online to commit suicide together :D)
These were probably the most hilarious out of the entire episode.
In retrospect, I feel kind of bad about laughing at a few select scenes, as all instances of humor are extreme exaggerations of how bad society and human beings can be in their worst scenarios. I'm afraid that I might spoil something if I try to give an example.

Down to the point?
This is an wonderfully charming series that I recommend you guys to watch.
